What makes us different

Our Aim

In everything we do at Active Swim, we aim to make teaching and learning to swim enjoyable and accessible to all, especially future generations, whilst empowering growth and development in all aspects of life.

Our Approach

We teach in a small and relaxed environment that nurtures progress – from the first tentative strokes and the development of confidence, through to speed boosting techniques for the advanced swimmer.

Our Structure

Swimmers are placed in a class according to their ability level, and as we follow the Swim Englnad Learn to Swim Framework, our lessons are all about developing confident and competent swimmers through fun and enjoyment.

A little about us...

Active Swim started in 2010. The inception of the swim school came from our Managing Director when teaching elsewhere. He experienced swimmers being bored and lacking in creativity. We started with one swimmer, and now we produce one of the largest numbers of people learning to swim in Hertfordshire. We now run lessons up to seven days a week and across several sites.

What we offer...

Learn to Swim

At Active Swim, we follow the Swim England Learn to Swim, which is the leading national teaching syllabus, to ensure safe, inclusive lessons.

Our swimming lessons run across different locations, including Beaconsfield, Rickmansworth, and the surrounding areas:
