Special Needs Programme

Every child is a unique individual and each swimming lesson is approached in accordance with their preferences and abilitities in mind.

The Active Swim Special Needs Programme uses visual aids and repetitive routines to provide a positive outlook and emphasise on the strengths and unique attributes of each child.

The Active Swim Special Needs Programme mainly focuses on water education, developing water safety and swimming skills. It is customised for each child's emotional and developmental abilities, with the goal to help them become physically active, build self-confidence and self-esteem, learn the life-saving skill of swimming.

Talking to your health professional

Even though all members of our team have access to medical groups such as GP and are experts in dealing with special need children, we do not presume to be medical experts. Therefore, we ask parents to consult with their doctor/surgeon and bring a written letter which states swimming will be beneficial for the child. This is for our children's safety and safety always comes first.

once you have your health professional consent, do call us for a quick chat. It is important you discuss any queries or concerns you have. We will be happy to discuss every little steps - in detail - towards the development of your child, so that you are 100% aware of our swimming programme and swim plan structure that your child will follow.

We will be providing a consent report on your child's progress and will be working closely together with you so that we address any concerns you have and we are aware of any changes in your child's routine
